travel time

The term 'travel time' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' Time measured from the start of a dam breach to flooding at a particular location. The flood level corresponding to that travel time is usually either the arrival of the leading flood wave or the peak flow at that location'.

The term 'travel time' as it applies to the area of the weather can be defined as ' In hydrologic terms, the time required for a flood wave to travel from one location to a subsequent location downstream'.

The term 'travel time' as it applies to the area of coastlines can be defined as ' the time necessary for waves to travel a given distance from the generating area'.
