mist

The term 'mist' as it applies to the area of the weather can be defined as ' A visible aggregate of minute water particles suspended in the atmosphere that reduces visibility to less than 7 statute miles, but greater than or equal to 5/8 statute miles. It does not reduce visibility as much as fog and is often confused with drizzle'.

The term 'mist' as it applies to the area of carbon dioxide can be defined as ' Liquid particles 40 to 500 microns in diameter that are formed by condensation of vapor in air'.

The term 'mist' as it applies to the area of coastlines can be defined as ' water vapor suspended in the air in very small drops finer than rain, larger than fog'.
