The term 'ice cover' as it applies to the area of carbon dioxide can be defined as ' During the present time, the extent, especially the thickness, of glacier ice on a land surface. Also the same as ice concentration, which is the ratio of an area of sea ice to the total area of sea surface within some large geographic area'.
