The term 'fact family' as it applies to the area of basic math can be defined as 'a collection of related addition and subtraction facts, or multiplication and division facts, made from the same numbers (e.g., [7+2=9, 2+7=9, 9-7=2, 9-2=7} and {7X2=14, 2X7=14, 14÷7=2, 14÷2=7}'.
