The term 'divisibility rules' as it applies to the area of basic math can be defined as 'a set of general rules that may be used to determine whether or not a number is evenly divisible by another number 2: if the number is even it is divisible by 23: if the sum of all of the digits is divisible by three, the number is divisible by 34: if the number formed by the last two digits is divisible by 4, the number is divisible by 45: if the last digit is a 0 or 5, the number is divisible by 56: if a number is divisible by both three and two, it is divisible by 67: if the difference of last digit doubled and the rest of the digits is divisible by seven, the number is divisible by 7 (e.g., 343: 34 - 6 = 28)8: if the last three digits of a number are divisible by 8, the number is divisible by 89: if the sum of the digits is divisible by nine, the number is divisible by 910: if the last digit of the number is 0 it is divisible by 10'.
