Shakes-shingles

The term 'Shakes-shingles' as it applies to the area of energy can be defined as ' Flat pieces of weather proof material laid with others in a series of overlapping rows as covering for roofsand sometimes the sides of buildings. Shakes are similar to wood shingles, but instead of having a cut and smoothly planed surface, shakes have textured grooves and a rough or 'split' appearance to give arustic feeling'.
