Offsetting compliance

The term 'Offsetting compliance ' as it applies to the area of agriculture can be defined as ' A requirement that a farmer owning multiple farms who wishes to participate in a crop program must comply with the programís provisions on all farms under the farmerís ownership in order to be eligible for program benefits. This provision does not apply to production flexibility contracts enacted under the FAIR Act of 1996'.
