Hunger - Food insecurity

The term 'Hunger - Food insecurity ' as it applies to the area of agriculture can be defined as ' An economic definition is the lack of food due to the limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods, or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways. The USDA, in 1997, estimated that about 12% of US households suffer from food insecurity'.
