Friction

The term 'Friction' as it applies to the area of the weather can be defined as ' The mechanical resistive force of one object on another object's relative movement when in contact with the first object. In meteorology, friction affects the motion of air (wind) at and near the Earth's surface'.

The term 'Friction' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' Resistance to motion when one body is sliding or tending to slide over another'.
