Environmental impact statement

The term 'Environmental impact statement' as it applies to the area of energy can be defined as ' A report that documents the information required to evaluate the environmental impact of a project. It informs decision makers and the public of the reasonable alternatives that would avoid or minimize adverse impacts or enhance the quality of the environment'.
