EDTV

The term 'EDTV' as it applies to the area of digital television can be defined as ' Enhanced Definition TV. A better digital television transmission than SDTV with at least 480p (progressive), in a 16:9 or 4:3 display and Dolby® digital surround sound. The quality of most progressive scan DVDs and players is 480p'.
