Direct process end use

The term 'Direct process end use' as it applies to the area of energy can be defined as ' Those end uses that are specific to the carrying out of manufacturing. They include process heating, process cooling and refrigeration, machine drive, electrochemical processes, and other process uses. 'Direct' denotes that only the quantities of electricity or fossil fuel used in their original state (i.e., not transformed) are included in the estimates'.
