Degradation

The term 'Degradation' as it applies to the area of the weather can be defined as ' In hydrologic terms, the geologic process by means of which various parts of the surface of the earth are worn down and carried away and their general level lowered, by the action of wind and water'.

The term 'Degradation' as it applies to the area of coastlines can be defined as ' the geologic process by means of which various parts of the surface of the earth are worn away and their general level lowered, by the action of wind and water'.

The term 'Degradation' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' Process wherein the elevation of streambeds, sandbars, and flood plains is lowered by erosion. The opposite of aggradation'.
