Deed covenant The term 'Deed covenant' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' A term used in association with the sale of excess lands. In order for an eligible buyer of excess land to receive Reclamation irrigation water on such land, a covenant controlling the sale price of the land must be placed in the deed transferring the land to the buyer'.
