The term 'Climate Model' as it applies to the area of the environment can be defined as 'A quantitative way of representing the interactions of the atmosphere, oceans, land surface, and ice. Models can range from relatively simple to quite comprehensive. See General Circulation Model.6'.

The term 'Climate Model' as it applies to the area of the weather can be defined as ' Mathematical model for quantitatively describing, simulating, and analyzing the interactions between the atmosphere and underlying surface (e.g., ocean, land, and ice)'.
