Advection

The term 'Advection' as it applies to the area of carbon dioxide can be defined as ' The predominately horizontal large-scale movement of air that causes changes in temperature or other physical properties. In oceanography, advection is the horizontal or vertical flow of sea water as a current'.

The term 'Advection' as it applies to the area of the weather can be defined as ' (Abbrev. ADVCTN)- Transport of an atmospheric property by the wind'.
