actuals -- physical or cash commodities, as distinguished from commodity futures contracts.

another definition...

actuals -- A physical article of trade that may be mineral, metal, cash crop, livestock, etc. Dealings in actuals result in visible transfer of a product to the buyer upon termination of the contract. This is to be contrasted with transactions in such items as those attached to index options, in which there is exchange of cash but no delivery of a commodity. In a large number of instances, however, futures and options contracts are brought to an end before their expiry and there is no transfer of a product.
