Frozen out -- Excluded or shut out. For instance, if the majority interest in a corporation so adjusts matters as to control to the exclusion of the minority interest the minority interest is said to have been frozen out. Likewise, if a member of a board of directors is objectionable to the other members and their combined opposition to him in the affairs of the concern impels him to retire from the board he is said to have been frozen out.
