Administrator -- Individual or bank designated by a court to implement judicial pronouncements touching upon the estate of a deceased person until the property is completely shared out among all claimants. The appointment of an administrator takes place when a property owner dies intestate or has not specified an executor or when the nominated executor fails to discharge functions. An administratix is a female executor. An administrator in the broad sense is someone who puts into practice the policies of an entity.
