Active Bond Crowd -- Participants in the bond section of the New York Stock Exchange who carry out the greatest number of bond transactions. Investors who make deals in the active crowd make higher profits than in the inactive market, where there is greater variation between bid and asked prices. Contrasting with the active crowd is the Cabinet Crowd, which confines itself to bonds that are not so often traded.
